Monday Monuments and Memorials – Cenotaph, Norland, ON

A cenotaph stands in a pretty park overlooking the Gull River in Norland, on the east side of Highway 35, just north of Monck Rd.

Erected by the Norland Horticultural Society in 1984, it is dedicated “to the glory and honour of those who fell and those who served in the defence of freedom in WW1 and WW2. The cairn was built by John Beachli, a local stonemason.
