Great War 100 Reads

Commemorating the centenary of the First World War in books

Monuments and Memorials

Each Monday, Great War 100 Reads features photos of First World War tributes from my travels near and far. Monday Monuments and Memorials takes an expansive view of what belongs – statues, cenotaphs, plaques, grave markers, sculptures, war art, ephemera and many other remembrances of the war. I seek them out wherever I go. Sometimes they present themselves to me out of the blue.

All photos are by me, unless otherwise indicated. Photos and all other content on Great War 100 Reads are subject to a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
